Each year, on the day before Thanksgiving, our entire school gathers for a traditional Thanksgiving Feast. Turkey and all the fixings are prepared and served to our students by staff. For some of our students, the TTA Feast is the only Thanksgiving dinner they have ever had.
The Feast is an important part of life here at TTA. Each class is invited to prepare a letter, poem or art work as an expression of their thanks and gratitude. Before the meal, students share these publicly with their fellow students, staff, TTA board members, and guests. While the food is always a big hit, this sharing by our students is always a touching moment for all.
“I am thankful for being able to come to Titusville and have teachers and staff who care for me, and who did not give up on me when things got rough.”

Over the years, we have been especially honored to have officers of the Hopewell Township Police Department join us for our celebration, helping us reinforce the importance of healthy partnerships with law enforcement in our communities.
Joining Titusville Academy staff and students at the Thanksgiving Feast were members of the Hopewell Township Police Department. Pictured (L to R) Lieutenant Christopher Kascik, Sergeant Daniel McKeown, Detective Frank Tulko, Detective Michael Sherman, and Detective Christopher Vaccarino.

More Student Appreciations…
People ask each other, ‘What are you thankful for?” Well now I am changing everything that I am thankful for. What I am thankful for is being able to come to TTA and meeting everyone who goes here. I was able to make friends who accept me for who I am. I was able to have teachers and staff care for me and not give up on me when things got rough. I am thankful for all the time I have spent here at TTA. I am thankful for every experience that I have had and I appreciate everything I’ve learned here. So to conclude this speech, thank you everyone here at TTA for showing me how to be the best I can be.
Thanksgiving is about people gathering around for holiday with their families to join together for a feast. Thanksgiving gives us a chance to see family we normally don’t see. It gives us time to eat and socialize. We are thankful for our moms and grandparents who have Thanksgiving ever year. Our families are always there for us. They’re our first squad!

We are thankful for our parents and our families who keep us in line. We are also thankful for living to see another day. We also thankful for the Titusville Academy who teaches us the things we need to know. Also we are thankful for God who lets us see one more day and who allows us to wake up one more day! This is what the 8th graders are thankful for.
