TTA has revamped its curriculum at all levels, fully aligning it with the common core. In addition we’ve added technology components to all academic areas — science, social studies, history, math, and language arts. “All classroom text books are now supported online,” said TTA Principal, Dr. Elford Rawl’s-Dill, “and we now have enough devices in the classrooms for every student and the teachers to be working online simultaneously.”

Additionally, the network environment throughout the school has been upgraded to support TTA’s technology expansion. New, faster network hardware and wireless access points have been installed to ensure that 100% of the Titusville building — even outside and surrounding the building for outdoor activities — are wifi accessible.

Staff training on the use of devices, educational apps and shared storage resources for education began during the summer and is continuing.

Students and teachers are able to access and share online storage, and use common web applications. And with all students working online, teachers can act as facilitators, opening educational resources well beyond the classroom. The use of common apps and technology also improves TTA’s ability to monitor achievement data and provide better assessments of our students.

“We’re really excited about these recent curriculum developments and technology enhancements,” said Dr. Rawls-Dill, “and the significant opportunity they provide for both our students and teachers.”
